allegory of cave

in the allegory of the cave, socretes talks with his fellow companion about a strange senario that strangely gave or taought him life lessons. each new detail that socretes gives his companion, gives him new insight on the situation. this companion sees this strange image and wonders exactly where socretes is going with this but since socretes is his mentor, he listens just the same. at the end of the story, socretes teaches his companion a very good lesson in life but also somewhat gives him all the answers to the situations. the cave, depending on the reader, can be physical or something completely different that captures the concept just the same. having all the classmates share their cave gave me insight on some of the students i sit close to and helped me feel closer to them. the story had a meaningful impact for me and actually enjoyed the story once i understood exactly what it was saying.
